Located below the Pfingsberg Grand Cru, this clay-loam calcareous terroir is based on a shell sandstone subsoil. The wine produced on this terroir was the favorite wine of Strasbourg’s bishop. The Pinot Gris is perfectly suitable to this terroir. It gives full-bodied wines with a wide natural complexity and richness, a long finish and a good ageing potential, from 5 to 10 years. |
